Patients requiring a further supply of medicines can order a repeat prescription in the following ways:
- In person - complete a request slip in the surgery (or a written request) having clearly marked the items required.
- Online - via EMIS Patient Access *
*To order repeat prescriptions on-line you will need to come into the Surgery with Identification and ask for log-in details and a unique pass code to set-up your individual account.
Please note, to reduce the opportunity for misunderstanding, if you have any problems please telephone the surgery. However we are not able to take requests for medication over the phone.
If you are prescribed medicines by the hospital you should be given a 14 day supply before you leave.
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
Please allow two full working days for prescriptions to be processed, or 4 working days if you require your pharmacy to deliver the medicines to you. Please also remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.
